Fire Prevention Awards

The Prevention Awards are open to any agency, individual, department, or service group in Montana. Award winners are selected at the Keep Montana Green Annual Meeting each Spring. 

Keep Montana Green Fire Prevention Award: For dedication and service to fire prevention, or for fire prevention activities directly supporting the Keep Montana Green Association and its programs.

Missoula Electric Cooperative, Missoula Montana

Keep Montana Green Firewise Award: For groups or individuals that are leading fuel reduction and design and building efforts that improve a community's ability to withstand wildland fire. (Tie)

Keep Montana Green/FireSafe Montana Community Award: To recognize Firewise efforts on the community scale. Many Montana communities have been putting a great deal of hard work and money into creating defensible space around homes, communities and other resources. But these good deeds have gone unnoticed by the public; this recognition program should help focus attention on these community-sized projects.

Hayes Creek Homeowners Association, Missoula Montana

Keep Montana Green/FireSafe Montana Landscape Award: to recognize fuels reduction efforts on the landscape scale. Many Montana landowners have invested a great deal of hard work and money in creating defensible space around homes, communities and other resources.
